Boys of Zummer

Hoooooooly crap. I went to see Fall Out Boy on Saturday (07/25/15) and it was.... magical. Now, I've seen Fall Out Boy numerous times before and had VIP before but for some reason this show was just different... in a good way.

My mom and I had VIP and even though it was greatly disorganized it was worth every penny. This time around you just went through one line where you talk to the guys and then get your photo taken. An autographed poster will be coming in the mail and I can't wait to see what it looks like! I thanked the boys for everything they have done and let them know that every time they come through town my mom and I make it a point to go see them together because she loves them too. I also got a hug from all of them... Patrick's was the best and tightest. Here is my photo:

Now... I wasn't very excited for Wiz Khalifa BUT his set was actually really fun. Fall Out Boy played:

  1. Acoustic, lawn stage
  2. (acoustic)
  3. (acoustic)
  4. Main stage
  5. (with Wiz Khalifa)
  6. Encore:
As the crowd was leaving I started looking at the floor for a pic. I somehow found one at the barricade and then while exiting the pit Jack, their photographer shouted "Oh a meet and greeter! Here is a drumstick" I couldn't believe it! This was such a good show that it ended my streak of not posting :P

I told you I was bad at this right?

Uh...I told you guys I was really bad at updating blogs, right?

It's been over a YEAR since I posted last. I wish I was able to keep up with this better but I realllllllly promise I am going to try my absolute hardest with this. I know I don't really have readers but I would love something to come back to to look at later on in life.

Many things have happened since my last update- for example, I graduated college!

I am currently in the interview process for the position of Digital and Social Media Coordinator. If I get this it means that I will finally be able to move to Dallas and attend more shows!

It's a tad late and I have my Kim Kardashian game to get back to... I hate her but this game is so addicting.

see you soon (hopefully)

Torrid Haul: Haute Cash!

I was out of town recently and made a hefty purchase at one of my favorite stores Torrid and in turn earned Haute Cash which was god for $100 off a $200 purchase. Now the time has come to redeem this cash and here is what I got with it!

Here is a picture of all 7 items that I received for the grand total of $133.00 - for anyone that shops at Torrid, you know that this is a great bargain!

These tops are soooo comfy! The first one on the left is a dolman top with an embellished neckline. When I first took it out of the packaging, it looked waaaay too big but once put on it fits nicely. The top to the right to a pullover that features four skulls and they spell out 'sick' just like with the other top, I thought this would be too big (probably because II've gained so much weight in the last 8 months) but it fits great and it is very soft - plus, it has skulls so I would love it no matter what.

Next up is a graphic tee and a lace regal top. I fell in love with a the graphic tee because of the wonderful color scheme featured on it. I usually have a problem with v-necks being too low due my lack of girls on the chest but this is a nice v-neck that is the perfect length plus the material is super soft. The lace regal too is very cute and I love that I can mix different colors of camis under the top to create different outfit.

When I saw this cardigan on the website I knew that I had to have it! I have seen a cardigan similar to this in Hot Topic and always wished they carried my size. From the front, it looks like a normal black cardigan but once you see the back it adds that instant edge to the outfit. It will be perfect for transitioning tops I already have from summer to fall.

The last two things I got were two graphic tees. One features basically the album cover from Dookie by Green Day and I absolutely had to have this. I'm a girl who loves band tshirts and now that Torrid is offering select band shirts in a girls cut tee I am in love. The top on the left feels and is cut the same way as the Green Day shirt but features an anchor and I love anchors so, instant buy.

I am so happy with this purchase that I made from Torrid and the best part is the money that I saved! Now I just need to continue to build a wardrobe that is fit for a young woman!

Goodbye, My Chemical Romance.

As a fan of My Chemical Romance for the past ten years- this is a post that has to be made.

It is now Day 3 of My Chemical Romance being gone and I am just feeling that I am in the right place to be writing this out. The moment the announcement was made, I was heartbroken and in tears. Saturday was better but I couldn’t stand to listen to any of their songs. Even though I was sad, I was still furious inside. How could they do this to me? It wasn’t so much them breaking up but it was how it happened. The past months have been filled with talk of new songs and people from other bands being able to listen to these songs and tell us fans how happy we were going to be with the next album. I mean, MCR5 was no rumor- it was fact. The facts were that the band built a new recording studio and were hard at work on a new record and all of sudden it’s over? Just like that?

It’s now Monday and I’m past being angry and sad. I’m simply grateful for how these men have MADE my life. I couldn’t imagine how different my life would be if it weren’t for MCR.

They have introduced me to so many incredible people that I would’ve never met if it weren’t for this band. The MCRmy has a lot of bad rep and I can see why but what most people don’t see if how we are a family who are there for each other whenever someone needs it.

I had the amazing opportunity of being able to attend three of their concerts. The first one was over 4 years in the making – April 16, 2007. After seeing them live, I knew that I could do anything that I wanted.

I could very much drag this out but I won’t.

The bottom line is that even though that as a band they are physically gone and there will not be any new music, they are always going to be with me wherever I go because they shaped me into the person that I am today. The person who won’t take any bullshit or follow anything less than my dream.

They may be gone but I am still here because they saved me and that will never change.

Thank you, My Chemical Romance. I love you. You’ll always be my favorite band and I will never let go of you.

I can't wait for...

These are some things that I am pretty excited about that will be happening in the upcoming months.

I love the Dallas Mavericks (especially my bby Dirk) and this year I will finally get to see them in person when I go for a game in December. It is going to be so wonderful and I am very excited. :)

Even though Green Day has already released the first album in their trilogy, the others will drop this fall and also in January. The first is great and I am very very excited for all these new songs.

t-minus one month until TAYF10! VERY excited for this and words just aren't enough.

During the holidays, Starbucks tends to take all my money due to my obsession with the holiday drinks. My favorite is the Caramel Brulee Latte. Someone please alarm me when these bad boys become available again.
