Let's try getting back into the groove of things....

I am finally back from vacation and I had a blast! Highlights include: Warped Tour for the second time this summer, NYC, relaxing on the beach, and all the shopping I did. I went with my boyfriend and his parents- they are the greatest. His mom also likes to spoil me so she bought me tons of clothes!  If I was smart, I would've photographed the clothes before I put them all up but I didn't and my closet is jammed packed right now so yeah... I'm not taking them out. I may just photograph every new outfit I wear and post them on here.

I will resume regular blog posting next week because I am completely beat.

See you guys then :)

Favorite Friday (Week of 7/9/12)

Let's get this going!

1) Tonight Alive - What Are You So Scared Of? (Acoustic)

You can pick this up exclusively on Warped Tour throughout this summer. A must for any                                          Tonight Alive fan!

2) Charmed Limited Deluxe Edition

I love this bad boy. I was able to hold mine for an hour before having to ship it back because it was all scratched up. As soon as I get my money refunded, I am going to reorder this and this time I am going to spend the extra thirty bucks for a brand new copy. It is a replica of the Book of Shadows and it is just so pretty.

 3) Chevron

I just really love this pattern.

4) Greek Fire

These guys are making the best music right now and EVERYONE needs to check them out. You will find me promoting them all the time because I am part of the FYGF team and my design is actually being sold to raise some funds for their drummer, Johnny Venus. He was diagnosed with Leukemia earlier this year and we have been fundraising non-stop. Check out If This Is The End, a song that the band wrote for him and all the sales actually go to the Johnny Venus Leukemia Fund. Good stuff.

5) Wal-Mart

This is a pretty weird one. It's just that I ordered 200 prints of pictures from when I graduated (About two years ago) and I got them in today! It was super fast shipping on only 20 bucks. Not bad, Wal-Mart.

Shipping Woes

Remember how I said that I would occasionally have a personal post on here? Well, this is one of them.

Lately, I have had the worst luck with shopping online. This is a terrible problem because where I live, there are no great movie or music shops so I am CONSTANTLY ordering online.

Lets start from the beginning:

  1. Back in May, I ordered Bleed American on vinyl. LIMITED EDITION REPRESSING. The post office lost package for a day. They got it to me a day late after making me stress out about it
  2. Exactly a month ago I ordered two packages from Madina Lake that included autographed CDs made out to me and a limited deluxe vinyl signed that is no longer available. I haven't received any of those orders and we keep playing email tag with each other trying to figure out what is going on.
  3. Lastly, I ordered a very expensive set- Charmed Complete Series Limited Deluxe Edition. I bought this shit off amazon and it said the condition was LIKE NEW. I actually got this package very fast but half the discs are scratched so deeply that they won't play. Yesterday, I had to ship the other back and now I must wait for a refund
UGH. I hate complaining like this online but I am just so frustrated and stressed out right now :/

Has anyone every had problems like these when ordering online?

Throwback Wednesday: Andy Warhol

As a graphic design major, I love modern art. One of my favorite artist is Andy Warhol. He really did have a impact on art and how it is today. Today for throwback Wednesday, enjoy part of one of my favorite pieces of Warhol...

Music Monday: Harris Grade

Let me introduce you to one of my favorite bands: Harris Grade.

Hailing from southern California, Harris Grade is a five piece rock band that brings the energy live (although I do not know by first hand experience... :(). They are currently unsigned but hopefully that changes soon. Influenced by bands like Anberlin, Thrice, and the Foo Fighters, Harris Grade offers a raw sound that is sure to capture fans of alternative music. Check out my personal favorite song of their's down below. If you like what you hear, go like them at the Harris Grade Facebook and download their FREE EP Sea In You.
