Favorite Friday: Week of 8/13

Not too many favorites. I've been really lazy this week with school quickly approaching.

1) Pointing out Paul Ryan's absurd views

2) Texas Rangers. I have been watching a game everyday this week. (Excuse the picture of my boyfriend and I in front of the Cowboys stadium. It's right across the street from the ballpark)

3) Glee Season 3 on blu ray

4) Shabby Chic. I cannot wait to paint my dresser like this!

Music Monday: Bayside

In honor of the TAYF10 tour, I picked an oldie of Taking Back Sunday's support- Bayside. This song will never get old to me.

Favorite Friday: Week of 8/5

1) Green Day - Let Yourself Go; I love this song so much and I hate that the show that the video was recorded out is three hours away and I could've gone if it wasn't a stupid secret show that they didn't announce until that day. It's a little more than a month until Uno comes out and if there are more songs on there like this then I am going to be such a happy camper.

2) The Zenon Trilogy; Disney Channel always shows DCOMS on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at like 1am my time so I am always recording them on my DVR. I think my favorite is the second one but it's such a hard decision! I wish everyone talked with the lingo like in these movies. Btw, I had a crush MAJOR on Proto Zoa.

3) Ben Affleck; This guy just looks go good.

4) Cillian Murphy; I went to go see The Dark Knight Rises this week (which is wonderful) and it rekindled my love for this man. His eyes are so beautiful

5) Avenue; Avenue is a clothing store for plus size women and I had a job interview there for sales associate but she is passing me on to interview for part time assistant manger! I think I could make a wonderful manager and I have my fingers crossed for this!

Throwback Wednesday: Dirty Boy Band Lyrics

Have you ever gone back to listen to a song from your childhood and think, "I can't believe my parents let me listen to this as a child!" I have had that moment many times so I figured I would share a couple songs from the 90s and early 00s that illustrate my point.

Exhibit A: Backstreet Boys - If You Want It to Be Good Girl...

"If you wanna make it last gotta know just who to ask..."
"If you like it innovative better someone creative..."
"If really like it hot, want someone to hit the spot..."

Need I go on with this song? I guess music wasn't always so dirty but lets look at another example.

Exhibit B: Nsync - Digital Getdown

"I love the things you do for me so late at night, you turn me on babe..."
"Baby we can do all that we want we getting freaky deaky, we getting naughty naughty"

Perhaps Nsync created cybersex with that song who knows.

But you know, its kind of weird knowing that some of my favorite childhood songs are really dirty and just about hot and wild sex. Eh, I can dig it.

Music Monday: TAYF10

This is happening and I couldn't be more excited. I've seen Taking Back Sunday twice already but this will be the icing on the cake. AND Bayside is going to be the best. I think this is going to be the first show I go to where I actually don't want to be in the front. I want to stand back and enjoy the show. I am hoping that they will go to Austin instead of San Antonio or Dallas but I will take whatever I can get.

If for SOME UNSPEAKABLE reason you have never listened to Tell All Your Friends- go do it! This year is the 10th anniversary of on of the best modern rock albums from the 2000s. Key tracks are Cute without the E (cut from the team) and Great Romances Of The 20th Century.
